Rebekah
Dunlap has been a minister in the Unity Church for the past
23 years, and has pioneered three new parishes during that time.
Reverend Dunlap is a prolific author and has co-authored the following
books with Sir John Templeton: The
Worldwide Laws of Life,
Worldwide Worship, Prayers and Poem (to be published
in June 2000), and Clams May Open, which is forthcoming
from the Templeton Foundation
Press. Reverend Dunlap resides in Colorado. She very much
enjoys playing golf with family and friends and tending her beautiful
flower garden.
Diana
Van Lancker is currently Chair of the Speech and Hearing Department
at New York University's School of Education. She was most recently
the Benedict Distinguished Visiting Professor of Linguistics at
Carleton College. For many years, Dr. Van Lancker was Professor
of Neurology at the University of South California Medical School.
She is a member of the editorial board of Brain and Language
and her research interests include neurolinguistics, right hemisphere
functioning, and aphasia.
Linda
McKay serves as Director of CHARACTERplus for the
Cooperating School Districts
of Greater St. Louis, Inc. The nation's largest community-wide
initiative in character education, CHARACTERplus currently
serves more than 250,000 students and 20,000 teachers in 34 public
school districts. Ms. McKay is also the project manager for a
federal grant that is extending CHARACTERplus across
the state of Missouri.
Peggy
Veljkovic was newly arrived at the John Templeton Foundation
when she participated in the retreat. What an exciting way to
begin work at the Foundation! Ms. Veljkovic coordinates the Laws
of Life
Essay Contest, the Foundation's oldest and most important
character education
initiative. A former teacher at the post-secondary level,
she has taught the French language and culture in the United States
and abroad.
