  • Bibliography of proverbs scholarship. We thank Dr. Wolfgang Mieder, the world's leading authority on proverbs research, for his wonderful bibliography of books and articles on proverbs!
    • Wolfgang Mieder is considered by his peers to be the world's leading authority on the study of proverbs. Dr. Mieder is the founding editor of Proverbium: The Yearbook of International Proverb Scholarship and has written and edited over 60 books and dozens of articles on various aspects of proverbs. He is chairperson of the Departments of German and Russian at the University of Vermont.

  • Bibliography of Neurolinguistic research on proverbs. We are happy to share with you Dr. Diana Van Lancker's list of important bibliographic references for the most current neurolinguistic research in the area of proverbs.
    • Dr. Diana Van Lancker is currently Chair of the Speech and Hearing Department at New York University's School of Education. She was most recently the Benedict Distinguished Visiting Professor of Linguistics at Carleton College. For many years, Dr. Van Lancker was Professor of Neurology at the University of South California Medical School. She is a member of the editorial board of Brain and Language and her research interests include neurolinguistics, right hemisphere functioning, and aphasia.
